Kel Muckleroy (Board President)

Kel Muckleroy became a board member at Jim Elliott in the spring of 2013. He is the husband of Mariana, and father of Kristie (19), Alex (18), Matthew (11), and Kyle (7). Professionally, he is a general surgeon who has a passion for medical missions. He is also passionate about Jesus, his family, Africa, discipling Christian youth in their faith, and the Word of God.

Jay Gardner (Vice President)

Jay Gardner is the husband of Julie and father to their two children, Joshua and Jessica. Jay started on the board in April of 2014. Professionally, Jay has 21 years of experience in Information Technology ranging from hardware and network management to software development and architecture. Jay has a BS of Science from DeVry University.

Previously, Jay served as president of the Board for the Solid Rock Enrichment Program. He also has traveled twice to India on mission trips. Jay loves Jesus, God’s word, His wife and children, his small group at church, serving others, Christian screamer music, honesty and courage. Jay has a desire to see our students receive a high quality education that honors the person of Jesus Christ. His favorite verse is Romans 11:36, “For from Him, and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.”

 Ericka Moore (Treasurer)

Ericka Moore has served on the Jim Elliot School Board for four years. She and her husband Jon have four children: one who graduated in 2013, and three who are currently enrolled at JECS. Their oldest just spent six months with YWAM and served with the Compassion Team in India.

Ericka and her husband owned a small business for several years, she has homeschooled extensively, and she has also served on a church Elder Board with her husband prior to coming to Jim Elliot. She and her family attend Denver United Church.

Ericka’s favorite things about Jim Elliot are the rich community life, students, missions focus, service days, learning styles, and mentorship program. She heads up the Jim Elliot prayer team and is very passionate about prayer and being a radical disciple of Jesus Christ.
