Teacher – Geometry

1st year at JE
Bachelors of Science degree: Biology, University of Colorado
Tutor of Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Reading/Writing for middle/high school and college level

Shelley has home schooled her 2 daughters from their start and has tutored during that time. She has led AWANAS, Home Court Chess Club, Tuesday Talks, Stock Market Experience competition as well as served as the Collection Center Coordinator for the Castle Rock area team for Operation Christmas Child (a ministry that JECS loves!).  Shelley grew up attending private Christian school and loves to teach and see that Ah-ha moment in kids’ faces when an idea finally takes hold.  She prays that each student will find success in their future by learning to study, work hard, and serve each other and their Savior while at JECS. When not teaching, tutoring, or home-schooling she enjoys watching her daughters play volleyball, her husband coach, reading, hiking, and holding babies in her church’s nursery.  Shelley’s favorite Bible verse is “This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9.
