Course Description

Middle School Art focuses on using and experiencing different types of art tools and materials.  The first semester students will learn about the color wheel and color mixing.  Students will view many famous artist’s work and draw their own conclusions about the meanings.  They will also create their own art based on the famous artist’s work.  The second semester students will complete a one-point perspective drawing.  By the end of middle school, students will be prepared with basic art techniques and experiences, which will prepare them for the high school level.
