Course Description: 

This course reinforces mathematical skills taught in the grade six and seven classes with additional advanced computation including an emphasis on Algebraic concepts. The course will cover the following topics at the appropriate grade level: integers, measurement, expressions and variables, problem solving, decimals, rational numbers, ratios, proportions, percent, inequalities, coordinate graphing, introduction to geometry, area and volume.  Successful completion of this course prepares students for success in Algebra I.
